Suzanne Barbi is the principal at Parkway School. She began her love of learning by earning a bachelor of arts degree in history from Providence College. After a short career in finance, Mrs. Barbi received her master's in the science of education from Fordham University. She went on to teach K–4 grade students at P.S. 49 in the South Bronx. My name is Jeanine Nostrame, and I am the principal of Ridge Ranch School. It is my pleasure to provide leadership at "The Ranch," a place where children are nurtured and encouraged to reach their greatest potential. I am proud to say that I have spent most of my career in Paramus. I started working for Paramus Schools in 1994 as a teacher at Parkway School. With master's degrees in the field of teaching and educational leadership, I have been able to serve the Paramus Schools district in many different capacities—teacher, administrative intern, elementary supervisor, and most recently, principal. I became principal of Ridge Ranch School in 2006, and "The Ranch" quickly established a very special place in my heart. As soon as you enter our school, you will see that Ridge Ranch is a very special school with a cheerful learning environment and a warm and friendly atmosphere. We encourage parents to partner with us and be active participants in their child's educational journey. We have an active and productive PTA that supports the students with both academic and social programs. Implementing a rigorous curriculum with a focus on goal setting and continued growth, our teachers strive to make learning engaging, challenging, and meaningful. Our team of teachers and support staff are among the most talented and dedicated professionals you will find working in education, and they strive to ensure that all students receive individual attention. Our school cheer, "Yee Haw! It's a great day here at the Ranch!" reflects our whimsical, enthusiastic style of working together. I hope you will join in our enthusiasm to help our students fulfill the mission of our schools—to develop all students as lifelong learners who pursue their dreams and add value to the world.
