NJ Summer EBT Program

The New Jersey Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) Program was launched as part of an initiative to ensure children receive nutritious meals even when school is out. This federally-funded program provides eligible families with an EBT card, similar to a debit card, which is preloaded with funds that can be used to purchase healthy food items at authorized stores statewide. Aimed at children who receive free or reduced-price meals during the school year, the summer EBT program helps to bridge the nutritional gap during the summer break. All families are encouraged to complete the Online Lunch Application Form by May 1, 2025, to determine eligibility.

Families who already qualify for free/reduced lunch do not need to fill out another application. The EBT cards will be mailed to your current address in June.
