William F. Holzmann

Biography

About William F. Holzmann

Bill has been a resident of Paramus since 1995 when he and his wife, Michelle, chose Paramus to start their family. Michelle and Bill have four children, all of whom have benefitted from a Paramus Public School education. He has been a member of the Paramus Board of Education since 2011 and is currently the president of the board; he also served as president in 2017 and 2018.
Bill is currently a board member for the Greater Paramus Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation, and was the president of the Paramus High School Music Parents Association for the 2022-2023 school year. Bill has also served Paramus as a former recreation commissioner and a coach for baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball for 30 seasons. Professionally, Bill is the Vice President, Treasury and Risk Management for a global, publicly-traded healthcare company. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and an MBA, both from Seton Hall University. Bill holds a certified treasury professional (CTP) designation from the Association of Financial Professionals (AFP) and is a certified Six Sigma green belt.

About Lisa Cassesa

Lisa Cassesa is a Villanova University alumna, having earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Since 2017, she has served as a dedicated trustee on the Paramus Board of Education, currently in her third term. Both her son, Joseph, and her daughter, Katie, take pride in being graduates of Paramus High School. Her husband, Jason, is a Battalion Chief at the Hoboken Fire Department. Lisa's professional role finds her as the Bergen for Business Coordinator at Bergen Community College. Beyond her career, she is an enthusiastic volunteer for various Paramus organizations, demonstrating her commitment to community engagement.

Joanne Bergmann

About Joanne Bergmann

Joanne, along with her husband Artie, are lifelong residents of Paramus. They are the parents of three children, all graduates of the Paramus Public Schools. They are also the grandparents of five grandchildren. Two of Joanne’s grandsons graduated from Paramus High School, and one granddaughter is currently attending Paramus High School. In her professional life, she was vice president of the Legal Department of a publicly traded finance company managing an attorney network across the country and overseeing litigation matters for the firm. She has been a long-term trustee of the Paramus Board of Education serving four years as its president. During her tenure on the board, she was the proud recipient of the prestigious Archie F. Hay Award and honored by Bergen County School Boards as board member of the year. She has also volunteered her time and served on various school-related and civic organizations including the Paramus Community Alliance that is dedicated to the prevention of drug and alcohol abuse among our youth and community; Stigma Free, a community effort to promote awareness of mental health issues with the goal of taking the stigma out of mental illness; and Operation Goody Bag, a youth-based organization that provides goody bags filled with treats and positive messages to our servicemen and women along with first responders. As a board trustee, Joanne takes great pride in her continued support of the many educational programs and activities that inspire our children to focus on positive involvement and educational growth.

Alison Donoghue

About Alison Donoghue

Alison is a school social worker/case manager for the River Dell Regional School District, where she has been employed for 20 years. Prior to being a case manager, she was a Special Education Transition Coordinator. Alison holds a Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University and a Master of Educational Leadership degree from Montclair State University. She is President of the Paramus Lacrosse Association and serves as a volunteer coach with Paramus Recreation. Alison and her husband, Thomas, have three children, all of whom attend the Paramus Public Schools.

Elisa Giblin

About Elisa Giblin

A Paramus resident for four decades, Elisa Giblin was a teacher for 39 years, with 25 of those in the Paramus Public School District. From 2017–2019, she previously served as a trustee on the Paramus Board of Education. The term Elisa is currently serving, as a member of the Facilities and Achievement Committees, will conclude in December 2024. Elisa graduated from William Paterson University with a B.A. degree and elementary teaching certificate. She is married to life-long Paramus resident, Brian Giblin, Esq., and they have two adult children, both of whom were educated in Paramus Public Schools and now hold careers in teaching and law, respectively. Prior to her retirement in June 2016, Mrs. Giblin and her Memorial Elementary School colleagues were awarded the prestigious Geraldine Dodge Foundation Grant from Montclair State University. Additionally, she received a distinctive grant from the State of New Jersey to develop and implement professional learning communities within the district in partnership with administrators and colleagues. Mrs. Giblin also received a Dream Grant from the Paramus Education Foundation which was used to enrich curriculum and provide opportunities for active learning in science. She was the recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award and currently serves on the Paramus Environmental Commission and participates in the Paramus Senior Number 1 Club, organizing programs for Paramus seniors.

Keri Greene

About Keri Greene

Keri is an East Brook Middle School (1997) and Paramus High School (2001) graduate, now raising her two daughters in Paramus with her husband. She earned a BS from The College of New Jersey, a MA from Rutgers University School of Criminal Justice and a JD from Seton Hall University School of Law. Keri is a practicing attorney in Hackensack. She is a former adjunct professor at various New Jersey locations of Berkeley College. Keri joined the board in January 2020 and is presently serving her second term as trustee.
