PARAMUS COMMUNITY SCHOOL FOR ADULT AND YOUTH

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Board of Education has appointed a Supervisor of Special Programs for the Adult and Youth Programs.  The Paramus Community School provides the administrative and operational expenses of the program in its annual budget. It is intended that, except for these basic expenditures, the program will be self-sustaining.

The community school is a hidden gem that provides courses designed to promote educational, recreational, physical well-being and cultural activities for children and adults.  The Paramus Community School promotes the Paramus Board of Education’s mission, to develop all students as open-minded life-long learners, who pursue their dreams and add value to the world.

Classes include interesting topics; computers, cooking, creative arts, enrichment, fitness/health and wellness, finances, languages, music, chess, robotics, sports, and a multitude of special interest classes including a Broadway show. Classes are held Monday-Friday at various Paramus Public Schools.  Explore your Paramus Community School at www.ssreg/com/Paramus/

CLASSES AND TUITION

Class meeting schedules and prices are listed under each course title in the pamphlet and on our online registration database www.ssreg/com/Paramus/. If a student requests a cancellation of class, a refund minus $25.00 processing fee will be given before first class meets.  The Paramus Community School does not prorate or provide a make-up class due to late registration.

ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR ANY REASON AFTER THE FIRST MEETING OF CLASS.  Check, credit card, or money order, NO CASH PAYMENTS.  An appeal to Administration may be granted and cash will be accepted due to specific circumstance.

CANCELLATION OF CLASS DUE TO WEATHER OR EMERGENCY

In case of inclement weather or an emergency, visit our webpage at www.ssreg/com/Paramus/ or call 201-261-7800 Ext. 3038.  If class is cancelled due to inclement weather or an emergency, we will make-up the missed session as long as we are able to secure a classroom.  If the community school along with the instructor is not able to make-up the missed session, class will not be rescheduled.

REGISTRATION

If there is low enrollment, class will be cancelled.  The Paramus Community School will provide a full refund in the form of payment you made.  Please register early so this does not occur.  Absolutely no walk-ins accepted.
